Rates and Policies
Lessons are set at the following rates:
$48 for a 30 minute lesson
$60 for a 45 minute lesson
$80 for a 60 minute lesson
Regularly attending students will be expected to register for a minimum number of lessons for the year, usually around 32 depending on when we begin study. Additional lessons may be required to cover the costs of the special projects, festival registration fees, and other performance related activities as they arise. New students may try out lessons and initially only need to register for 5 lessons.
Each student receives one lesson per week at a pre-arranged time. Occasionally, I need to be away and have to miss a lesson because I am performing, adjudicating, or working in some other capacity. I make every effort to provide at least two weeks notice in these cases. Should I need to cancel a lesson, make up lessons are offered once a month. Students need to sign up on the google document which I will share with students once they have registered for lessons. If a student should miss a lesson with less than 24 hours notice, I will still count the lesson on the student's account. If 24 hours notice or more is given, I will work with the student to come up with a plan to make the lesson up in the future. Statutory holidays are not counted in the lesson count and do not need to be made up.
